Restore BIOS

After finding the manual for my motherboard and reading it a bit I realised that I have never updated the BIOS on it, so yesterday I installed the program that came with my Gigabyte GA-7VT600 called @BIOS, it downloaded and updated my BIOS. After updating it my system has locked up twice, completely frozen and I had to restart, apparently because of some error with the realtek onboard sound. Microsoft said that realtek was currently working on a fix, however my motherboard is a couple years old so they've probably been "working" on a fix for a while. Anyway, is there anyway to get my BIOS back to it's original state like how it came in December 2003?

There should be a jumper on your MOBO that you can switch pins and clear the BIOS.

This will not set your bios back to a previous version though. You can however re-flash your bios with the old one if you saved it which you should have. If you did not I'm sure you'll find it for download on the internet somewhere. Did you look for updated chipset drivers first? if there's a newer version for you chipset then I'd update that first to see if that helps before going back to the old bios.
