Restore Factory Settings

Can somebody please tell me how to restore the factory settings on my laptop? I have no CD, I don't want any of the saved data or programmes and I don't have the original manual or any documentation.

My laptop is a Packard Bell and is running on Windows XP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

look on the compurer and see if there is any program to create backup disks. This will create disks that will restore it to default, and only install the default programs.
