Hello folks.i want to verify the possibility of testing a restoration of domain controller backup created on a physical server onto a virtual machine.i believe this will require the imitation of the current hardware configuration on the DC in question.your replies are deeply appreciated.

Virtual machines emulate whatever hardware the host PC has. All you need to do is be sure it has the same number of cores and physical processors assigned to the VM that the physical one did.
