restting!!!

is there a way to reset my hard drive? When i put another operating system on it, It still has old folders and things from the previous system.

Reinstall the OS but this time format the drive.

You must boot to the install cd and choose to delete the existing partitions, repartition and then format and install windows.

Use windows stuff to re-set. I would recommend you call Microsoft (do not know their phone number but look on the back of computer products and you may be able to find out how to call, mail write etc. to Microsoft) or mail write Microsoft they may be able to help.

You don't have to delete the partition, you can just choose to format if you want to keep the same partition size

I've always found it best to delete it, then recreate it.

do not use quick format.

The only difference in quick format, it doesnt check the disk for bad sectors .
