hello, new here 1st post, came in search of some guidance...

i got a hold of an old PC thats been collecting dust, since iv been computer less for almost a year (by choice) recording my music on tape... i finally need a PC and this was offered to me for $50 and the specs weren't bad for $50 and a working pc

its a eMachine (i know) et1300

i found all the specs i need but my research hit a wall when it came to CPU/Board.

according to newegg the pc has a NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE Chipset

i would like to know what CPU would fit this board i found a few of these boards and seems like AM2 and AM2+ keep popping up... it currently sits a AMD Athlon X2 4850e (2.5GHz)

i replaced vista with W7 ill keep current HD and Vid card (nvidia G100)

ill upgrade ram when i figure out if there is a CPU i can swap or if i should just buy a new CPU/motherboard combo

im not trying to build a power house just something to record and master single tracks on from the tapes ill record and play mild gaming on (CSS, DOD, D3)

the power supply seems to be "ATX" i wonder if that's how you tell what motherboard can fit the case???
