Retrieve word document??????

I need some help bad!

I sent a word document to my gmail account and then i opened it up on another computer to work on it. I chose to just download the file onto the computer so I could start working on it. After working on it for awhile I hit the save button then shut off my computer. Is all my work lost? Is there a way for me to retrieve the file??

Please Help!!
 
Are you asking if there is any way to retrieve the file that is on the computer you were editing the document on, without actually having physical access to that machine?
 
No, I opened the document and worked on it on my laptop, which is what I am on now

I found the temp document in the temp folder. Its name starts with a ~.

When I open the file its just jibberish
 
tried the recent documents folder???

Have you tried going into word and opening it under recent items there???
 
yea, the problem is that I shut my computer off.

I was working on it and then I saved the document (which saved it to the temp file) then i shut my comp off. I found the file I just cant retrieve the original info, its just jibberish. Its the exact same size, I just cant open it
 
Are you sure that it saved it in the temp folder? Is that the download location you personally selected when downloading the file from gmail?
