i'm going to do alot of changes (fans, wiring, heatsinks and stuff).
check my sig for the details.
but it all comes down to 2 big changes:

- Videocard
I'm going to add a second 8800 gt in sli. Don't try to talk me out of it. Just wanted to at least have tried sli out. And i'm going to change a graphic card cooler for the first time in my life (i'm going to use a hr-03 gt).

- Processor
I'm thinking of switching it with a quad 9550. The thing that worries me is my motherboard cpu support. It isn't in the list but asus does say it supports all new 45nm models. My motherboard can handle the 1333 fsb. Has anyone has any thoughts about this?

and now a third little change
- i've taken out my creative audigy 2 (crappy drivers, wouldn't give sound in star wars kotor 2). And i'm trying to decide which to choose now. It has to have eax 5.0, a standard pci slot and i don't want creative again (at least not the cpu card the chip is allowed to be creative's). So far i'm leaning towards the auzentech x-fi prelude 7.1. Anyone has any other advice on this?

Now the overall picture. Will my psu handle this? It's very very high quality (seasonic, but modded for silence) it will probably reach about 650 but it's guaranteed to 600 watts.

Thanks for reading my long post,
Craven

I think you'll be happy with the 8800 GT SLi performance. From what I've heard it's one of the best cards to SLi.

there goes my new quadcore... just found out it's only supported with the 7 series chipset. My 6 series supports up the the e8xxx cpu's.

i've pretty much narrowed it down to 2 options, either the q6700 or the e8400 will do the trick.
which one would you pick?
