*Review Hp All in one 1410 Printer*

Mulifunction devices once again dominated thier own reltives i.e printer, scanner, copier etc. An MFD consist of all the devices mentioned above even some came with bundeled fax as well as with a phone. That's why they are used more than a printer or a scanner at offices and now even at homes. So lets come to the point I had recently purchased an all in one MFD excluding fax, and phone from one of the most prestigious and excellent printer manufacturer company present in India, yes it is Hp[Hewlett Packard] which has spread its vein nearly in almost all corners of the world.

I purchased this MFD cause some times I have to print my projects scan valuable documents and makes some photo copy of different files. So the printer is quite compact and sturdy built : comes with bundled software and cables and the amazing part is that it cost very less when compared to the performance. The printer has awesome prints and in less time we get spectacular results.

So here is the Hp MFD 1410 preiview:--
The printer:-

As I already said many things abt the printer ya really this baby beats the pants of its nearest oponents i.e the other MFD's in its range. Awarded the best MFD of the world, this pinter has some awesome features and print quality.

Ordering:--

Ordering the printer was not so hectic as in my town it's still difficult to get computer parts. So this time I dont have to tear my hair cause I dont have patience regarding the odering of products. But this time I got the printer in 5 Hours after odering the dealer. Ahhh that too made me a bit impatience but I got the MFD.

Specification:--

The printer has huge list of specs lo lets take a look at different components of the printer :-

:@ And the most notable and disgraceful feature is the it supports MAC while it does not support Linux. Ohhh both are digraceful:P

Bundeled Accessories:--Windows CD

Both the installation CD's consists Printer Software and also include some amazing software like Image Zone, Document Viewer, Soultion Center and so on....

Connectivity :--

As far as I know I think the printer can only be coneected to the Computer through USB 2.0 or 1.1 ports.

Print Cartridges:--

The Printer unfortunatly supports only 2 ink cartridges i.e Black and Colour viz. Red-Blue-Yellow. Oh thats what I need as I am not a professional and I am happy with the Ink Quality.

Performence :--

As far as performence is concerned the printer rocks and even I could not beleive that it could print a photograph in as less than 12-13 ppm even at higher resolution. And it can print black pages in less than 6 secs. The printer supprots A4 size paper. Maximum paper tray capacity is 100 pages.

Price:-

The most crucial part so any guess this baby is available @ 4900 + VAT [ Value Added Tax] max of 5200 is in budget so its a right choice.

Conclusion:-

This MFD is a best buy and I will recommend it as Hp has now changed the name but it hardly matter. Keeping in mind the price and performence I give the printer 5/5 marks.:hap2:

So if u are going for MFD have a look at it or its relatives i.e other Hp series.

This model of printer is OLD by printer standards. To be specific, three generations old. The current model similar to this is the F380 which also should be nearing the end of its model life. As for the cartridges, yes it does only support a 4 color spectrum, but you're leaving out one other key piece of information: the page yield. Take a look at that here: http://h10060.www1.hp.com/pageyield/us/en/PSC1400/index.html If you do more than a few pages of printing a week, this printer will cost you an arm and a leg, possibly both. Oh, and don't print pictures on it, that'll drain the cartridges even faster...

One other thing, yours may have come with a USB cable in the box, but as a retail seller here in the US, I know that printer did not have a cable in the box.

Thank you for contributing this review, but please include some competitor's products and why this one "beats the pants" off of them.

Yes USB cable doesnt come included, I woudlnt purchase a printer with anything less that 6 cartridges, as too expensice to run and quality would be poor. Go for canon, have changeable print heads,hp cartridges have the print heads included, so thats why usually more money for hp cartridges.

If you like to print photos at home and you like high-quality results I would agree that I six-color system would be ideal. However, I also do think that there are some people that only need to print the occasional email or memo a couple of times a week, and that this would then be a fine example. Additionally, there would be some Epson models for about the same price that would possibly be a little better choice.

I have a PSC-1350 and I really cant complain. The fast-draft quality is typically fine for my printed documents, and normal to best is great for photos. Scanner's not wonderful, but only use mine on rare ocassions.

Now, I don't know the difference between the 13xx and the 14xx series, but the next ones (F3xx) are horrible. I've not had much one-on-one experience with it, but I know they use another cartridge than mine, and they honestly only last about a week. Mine lasted over a year before I had to replace them!

That's the major thing I was pointing out earlier... The 1350's could use the 56/57 combo, while the 1410's can only use the 21/22 combo. Absolutely the worst cartridges that HP has EVER come out with.

56 ($20 USD) - 450 pages
57 ($35 USD) - 400 pages

21 ($15 USD) - 165 pages
22 ($18 USD) - 190 pages

I tried one of these HP all-in-ones. Whenever I tried to scan or print, the only thing that would happen is that my floppy drive would seek seek seek... until I rebooted the PC. The only way to uninstall the drivers and bloatware was to download and install a 40 MB update... no easy feat on dialup. It was a POS.
