Review Your ISP.

I had this idea today while dealing with my internet today.

I was thinking we could have a place to reveiw your ISPs and give anyone who is looking to get a new connection at their house or want to change to a new service provider a place to easily get some advice without starting a new thread.

If enough people comment and leave a review maybe we could get some top lists for each country to help both old and new members choosing the right company, a rating out of 10 or something would be good

If you want to comment include some details like what country you live in, the ISP, the price and value of it, stabilty of the connection and if the customer support is any good, for example.

My previous ISP was tiscali max up to 8Mbs, cant remember how much i paid think it was £19.99, and after I downloaded to much they throttled the connection constantly and would not change that policy no matter what I said. Technical support which were useless and not uk based. 2/10

Now I am with plusnet up to 8Mbs, used to be on the pro package which the best , everything I did on the connection was priortised over all other packages meaning that I never had slow conections during peak hours and no matter what I did it was always running at my line speed, cost £19.99 per month and since it was ideal for gamers I even got a choice of a free game when I joined, overall very good, some connection issues but the customer support, which is uk based, is awesome, nice and knowledgeable people and usually sorted any problems in a single phone call, one slight hitch is that you have a usage allowance which is 20 GB but can be extend very easily @ £1.00 per GB, i'm now on plus net value £6.99 as I moved and I am now my speed is to slow to warrant the pro option and it is cheaper, which I need more atm, overall 9.5/10

we have recently got sky broadband and so far im pretty impressed, they got off to bad start when the router was over a week late, but their customer services did deal with this and made a gesture by refunding us the price of the line install £30.

As soon as the router was in and setup i used my laptop and went round the house and tested the speeds and there wasn`t much difference at the router it was 2.5mbps and at the furthest point was still 2.4mbps so no big loss, with a wired connection i can get just under 3mbps.

What i like about sky is their unlimited policy is truly unlimited no extra charges or throttles, so far so good.

I just went for TalkTalk I know it sounds crazy but, they recently upgraded my line, giving me 13MB/S. My old ISP fast.co.uk could only manage 7.5, for some reason. First day, really happy, no slowdowns at all, been testing every hour or so. Fingers crossed.
