i would go with the crosshiar RAM. OCing would be nice. is it doable with the MSI??

Corsair lol...not crosshair.

You can overclock with alot of boards, just look for the best one in your budget. If you don't know, state your budget for a mobo, other system specs, and someone here can recommend something good.

I personally recommend the DFI NF4 Ultra-D motherboard if you get a Venice series chip and want to voerclock. But that might be too much $$$$ i dunno. Also, if you are gettin ValueRAM, overclocking might be out of the question. You need good power supply, motherboard, CPU, and RAM to overclock efficiently.

i want PCI express 16x for video card. dual channel ram sounds good. i;m confussed about cpu's and dual channel & PCI-e support. i know 64bit cpu's support dual channel and pci-e but they are too expensive. what cpu could i get below a 64bit that would support dual channel and pci-e? i hear with athlons dual channel doesnt matter.

the msi listing is decent for overclocking. Not as good as the platinum version, but then its not as expensive

The board listed is pci-e

dual channel ram sounds good.
its pretty much the standard these days

The cpu you listed (the amd64 3000+) will support dual channel, and is 64bit
Some athlons do support dual channel - such as the athlon xp 3200+ depending on the board.

yeah i know about the64bit chip but its pricy and i'm a cheap so i wanted to know if there was a cpu below the 64bit-er's that woudl support dual channel and pci-e.
