Revived my seemingly dead motherboard! =)

February 2007:

I was driving down a dark narrow road and slid on snow/ice into a tree, totaling my car. I had my whole computer system in there. The LCD monitor, case, and a few other things were junked. I found out the motherboard wasn't working anymore, but I kept it for some reason.

Here's a link to the thread I made about that crash: http://www.computerforum.com/74596-computer-suffered-crash.html

October 2007:

I was really bored today so I decided to try that old motherboard that didn't work. I gutted my entire system and built it up using the Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe. I made everything nice and tidy (to the best of my ability) and decided to try turning it on. And to my utter amazement it started booting! Eventually the Windows splash was up and I was in business! Now I can overclock with ease, I have a much nicer looking motherboard, and I have many more features to use again.

Electronics are very strange.

Well Done.

So it just turned on?

Very Wierd indeed. . . .

Do you have any pictures of the computer after the crash? lol

Very nice! Did you do that at midnight last night? lol

If I rebuild my computer I would at least like to add something, such as water cooling.

BTW, my laptop was shipped today (already), so I should have it in a few days :)

It's hard to tell at first, but mainly it was all the heatsinks and such that had fallen off.

Just like my flash drive a week ago. Went through the wash and it wasnt being recognized anymore (It was throughly dry). Tried it a week later just before going out to get another and now it works (well, its picky about what computers it works in...but it works :D). Granted, mines a cheap 32meg drive and thats a good couple hundred dollar board. Congrats on having it working again!

Hello matrixevo:

Good to see that the clear sticky tape on the shiny bits
of the heat pipes hardly got wrinkled.
With the recent installation of the carbon fiber looking
black Vacuum Cleaner Hoses as a bracers: you should be all
set to have another run at that tree.

Cheers
