Rhythmbox

I have a collection of music that is 320kbs. I only have an 8 gb ipod and it can't hold all of my music. In iTunes, there is a feature where I can convert songs to a lower bitrate when they sync to my ipod, and keep them at 320kbs on my computer. Is there a way to do this in rhythmbox?

You would have to make a separate copy of the music and convert it to a lower bitrate. No other way around it as far as I can tell.

I believe winff can do that. In output details use Audio, MP3 than go into advanced options and go into the audio tab. You can configure the bitrate from there
