Ripping a DVD perfectly

Does anybody know a program I can use to rip a DVD perfectly? Basically, I just want an image of a DVD.

I'm not concerned if it is 9GB or what have you, I just want to be able to have my DVDs, with full video and audio (5.1 Dolby Digital Surround) quality retained, on my computer.

So does anybody know any possible way for me to do this? Thanks

Backing up DVDs is illegal. Regardless if you own it or not, you must break the copy protection to do so. Sorry...
