Risers

Hello, I know this is a nooby question. Where would risers go to place a motherboard on? All I see are screw holes on the side. And do you have a pic of risers?

Thanks,

You put the risers only under where the risers holes are on the motherboard.

The holes in the board will have a metal ring around the hole, you put the risers on the case and sit the board on top of them, there to keep the board from grounding out on the bottom of the case. Then you use small screws through the board to hold it to the risers

Lay the motherboard in there and then with a sharpy or something mark where the holes in the motherboard are on the inside of the case, then put the risers in those holes. :)

Ohh, Ok, I get it..But..It doesn't seem to be fitting. The motherboards sound and mic ports, for instance, go vertical, but on the case, they go horozontal (when the case is layed flat)

Also, the PS/2 port doesn't line up. There's like 3 things htat line up. The Monitor, and 2 other plugs that you screw something into them, in order to get them to stay in. Monitor is pink, the other 2 ones that fit are tealish-green and blue.

What should I do now? Other people said it was compatible.

yeah. If I line up the monitor and the other two, then I have The PS/2 Port where the USB Ports should go. The USB Ports are way over where the mic and that stuff should be. Is it just a problem because I have hte mobo set up in the wrong direction or something?

Sounds like they give you the wrong backshield if the sound ports are different and the PS/2 ports dont match up. You can pop it out and run it without one till you get the right one but you have to take the board out to swap them around. Sure you didnt put the backshield in upside down?

Cases come with an I\O shield already in there, are you sure you popped that one out? And then put in the new on the came with the motherboard?

Oooh!! No I didn't! Good job guys! Got the risers in the correct place, now just screw screws in here? I wish I could use a screwdriver, I can't screw in something to save my life =\
