Road Runner Speed help

I just got road runner a month ago and I'm seeing a 4.2mb speed tops compared to their advertised speed of 5mb. I was wondering if this was normal for Wisconsin road runner or if you help me with my settings. I'm running the road runner into a D-Link DGL-4300 router and am also running CableNut software. This is where you want to go ask http://www.speedguide.net/ but make sure you read all the stickys before you post...they might be able to help you tweak your wrin and myu settings and get you a little more speed but you are real fast right now 4.5mbps is nice I have dsl 3.0 advertised speed and was getting 2.2mbps down and they helped me tweak and now I get 2.6 down and that is plenty fast for me so I dont know why you would even need more than 4.5! Another thing is cable is based on an rt and you share your bandwith with everyone who lives by you...do a speed test about 4:00pm when all kinds of kids are playing games online and then do a speed test at 4:00am when most people are sleeping and it will be faster!
