Rookie looking for suggestions

Hey I'm new to the computer world and am looking to buy a laptop at around 750$ give or take a bit. I was originally thinking of buying the MacBook Pro (faster version) but feel its over priced. I will be using it for school and some casual gaming nothing too intense. Any suggestions on a good reliable laptop? All help is extremely appreciated!

i think most if not all macs are overpriced. i would offer you mine but you won't want to carry it around. its a desktop replacement. maybe look into lenovo? or asus has some nice laptops
