router firmware update

i downloaded a router firmware update for my WRT160N-V3 wireless N router to upgrade it from version 3 firmware to the newest version, and now i cant get into the router setup page to downgrade it, how can i downgrade the firmware without getting to the router setup page ?

I don't believe you can. Have you tried reseting it with the button on the back?
 
yeah i have tried that, i cant get into the configuration page at all, i wanted to update the firmware but the firmware file i downloaded must have been corrupted or something cause now i cant get into the configuration page at all when the router is connected
 
they are just staying solid, i just need a way to revert back from firmware, cause thats what caused the problem in the first place
 
Most likely you have bricked your router. If doing a hard reset on the router won't allow you to access the login page then its toast.
 
how do you "unbrick" it? there has to be a way to install the firmware without going to that page or something like that ?
 
Yeah, its called send it in for repair if its under warranty but if its not then just buy a new one.
 
Unfortunately, John is right. If you can't get into it at all, it is bricked, which you can't do anything about. All you can do is send it in, buy a new one, or you can chuck it out your window.
