router issues

well first of all, some spyware got into my nework, which was taken care of in due time

anyway long story short, the router, which is hardwired, is not feeding internet to the computers. Could the spyware have damaged the router in some way that it would not work?

p.s. i have tried unplugging replugging reseting restarting and all the usual troubleshoot, but the router just will not work

To totally reboot the router you need to unplug the modem and router, wait 2 minutes and then plug in the modem first and then the router. I don't know if this will solve your problem, but every other month or so i have to do that to my netowork.
