Router Lag?

Are you using many comps at once? If so, no. That's not really the problem of the router.

Now router's aren't the fastest things around, but it really shouldn't slow your internet down unless you're just drawing too much bandwidth for your modem to handel...

Always reset your router by plugging off the power and re-plugging it again after a few minutes.

You should do this on a weekly basis, or every 2 or 3 days according to many factors, like how frequently are you using your internet connection, how many computers are connected, the router brand, etc....

Is it a wireless router, because if its an old wireless router (Before 802.11G) then it could be slowing down, but i dont think it would slow down that much. Try resetting the router and your modem, it usually helps for me.

It's a Siemens SpeedStream(dont know exact model number) , not wireless , only 2 computers hooked up to it.

Try the resetting thing, it really works and will improve the performance and the speed a lot.

You should do what he said, and if thats not the reason, then maybe its your modem or the connection iteself.
