router questions

I have comcast broadband internet and its hooked up to a gigafast ethernet 10/100 mbps switch. I've notice that when I play cod4 when it shows all the servers the ping for them is through the roof. Then when I join the server my ping is somewhere between 150-200. I turned off all the other computers that are on the router and it seemed to help, but thats impractical for my family cause all the computers are always on. Is there a way i can boost my internet speed to my computer, or is there a better router or something i can buy?

well if the other computers are surfing the web or downloading something while you are playing then there is no way to fix it unless you pay more for better speeds

it is not your network that is causing the problem. its your ISP. you network is preetty fast as it is running at 100mbps. your ISP connection though is most likely much much slower. the only way to make that faster is to call your ISP and upgrade your package.
