First of all, i am sorry if i am posting this thread in the wrong section of the forum. Second of all i am sorry if i lack proper English spelling :)

anyone have an idea on how i can use the router to send out a signal hopefully on a Lan cable from the router
wich will give out an output of possibly 5 Volt Dc from an unlocal network.
I know that the router sends out signals trough the lan cable, i know that i can access
the router from outside but i am not sure how to send only one signal on 5 volt trough the lan cable from the
router. This is an experiment i want to perform wich by i can switch out the power button
on my computer and be able to turn it on remotely, a program that i use makes me able to
connect to it from a different network so that part i have covered. Any ideas ?

Resolved with an easy solution

You can push power down an Ethernet Cable. POE devices normally push 48V down to power access points or other network appliances.

The problem you are going to have is the router is not designed to put power down the cable. And I don't think this is a software thing, the hardware is simply not designed to do this.

You are better off not doing this, if you want to remotely turn the pc on you should get a router that supports WOL or (Wake on LAN). Then you enable WOL in the bios of your pc and the 'Magic Packet' the router sends to the MAC address of your pc turns it on.
