This may sound stupid coming from someone who has built computers for 10 years now but I don't know alot when it comes to networking. If I were to get a new router would it have to be the same brand as the wireless adapter on the computer in the other room? I wouldn't think so as long as they are both G's but wanted to check here first. I have the Linksys WRT54G with the adapter that goes with it. Plan on buying the Netgear WGR614 as I don't have alot of money and heard it was a good cheap router for basic users that need to connect a few computers together.
