Ok, I am set to buy a Netgear RangeMax 108Mbps router and the 108mbps card. Will I need anything else or does that pretty much cover it? This is my first wireless rig, the used laptop I have came with a 54mbps card. But I want to do it right the first time if you know what i mean.

well, yeah ,its all what you need to have wireless network at your place
first, connect the router via cable to your laptop and use the manual for further setup.

A 54mbps card is plenty, unless you're contantly accessing large files from another computer just stick with it. You'll be lucky to get a couple of meg per sec from your isp
