RPG Maker XP

i was surfing around at DemoPlanet.com and i found a trial for RPG Maker XP. i went to thier homepage and decided to download it. the demo video looks really cool. i was wondering if anyone has used it(or heard of it), because i have no idea how to use it. lol.
 
I used the version before that for a few months. Never finished my game, though -.- Someone actually showed me the XP version after I started on the game, but I really didn't like it. It didn't seem to run as well on any machine when you tried to play the games, and I though the walk animations sucked. Besides, I was making sprites for it and they are too complicated in the newer versions, being high res and all ^^;

it seems really complicated to me. i dont even know how to put in bg music.
 
Hehe ^^; I had a neat game going and lots of people helping out. But then school got in the way and my computer started to crap out. Once I built my new system, I basically stopped working on the game. It's still about halfway done on my HD... I doubt I'll ever finish :(

there is so much stuff you can do in that program. things that i probably will never figure out. i did figure out how to create events and play bg music and a whole lot of other stuff, but it can get as complicated as you wanna make it.

dont know if its worth 60bucks for the full version though.:rolleyes:

btw, the gameplay kinda reminds me of golden sun for gba. its a pretty cool game.
 
Never played GBC that much...I was very disappointed in it...

Anyway, I wouldnt buy the full version. I really didn't like how it worked in comparison to the older version, eh 2002 I think... Plus I'm more of an oldskool gammer so it was more my style. Much like Final Fantasy II, actually...
