RT.X2 Video Workstation

Hello Fellow COMPUTERFORUM users,

I am going to be building the following RT.X2 Video Workstation. Here is the specification that i have put together

CPU:Intel Core 2 Duo E6700
MB:ASUS P5W DH Deluxe
GPU1:512MB NVIDA GeForce 7950 GT
GPU2:256MB RADEON X1300
RAM:1024MB DDR2 512MBx4
HDD:250GB HDD X3

Also a 500W PSU to be added once i have made a decision on a system case. And Also the RT.X2 Video Card

If somone would not mind checking what i have done i would be greatful
 
RT.X2 is PCIe x1 correct?

get either an Nvidia card OR an ATI card. both will only lead to problems. you can have two Nvidia's or two ATIs if you really want two graphics cards. what monitor setup will you be running? quad? then just get two 7950s.

Then since you're going to be video editing, the more RAM the better. up the 1GB of RAM to 2 or 4GB. same goes for the processor. for video a quad core processor would be the best, and the Q6600 is going for the same price as the E6700, so that would be the best way to go there.

Sort out the cards, up the RAM and processor, and you'll be good to go.
