Just today, my comptuer started acting weird. It would stay at the welcome screen for about 30 seconds and then show the desktop wallpaper with not icons or anything for about 2 mintes. Then everything would show up. When i first turned it on, there was a message with the name rundll that said it had an error loading a file. i surfed the net looking for what rundll was. i read through some forums and im nto really sure what to do with it. some say to delete it and some dont. i scanned for viruses but it didnt find anything. i think i might have found the rundll thats a virus but im not sure. any help would be appreciated.

i ahve some screenshots:
sorry theyre bad quality but it wouldnt let me post mroe than 97kb of pic

Heya

What I would do to try and solve the problem would be to run the REPAIR console from the Windows XP installation CD. To do this, pop the CD in, boot from it and then press R when you get to the welcome screen.

Then type in: chkdsk /r

It will take some time but should repair problems.

Well, those two pics dont show the error, which is what we need to solve the problem.
well i didnt get a picture of the error message, but i read somewhere in a forum that the real rundll was in the system32 folder....so the ones not in it are the virus?

repairing windows didnt seem to work. i tried it twice but everything seems the same. are there any other ways to fix this problem besides reinstalling windows?
