Running linux Add windows?

I'm running Linux suse 10.0 and I'm new to linux and I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I want to make a partition on my laptop and add windows xp pro to it so my wife can not flip out on me about an operating system she knows nothing about. I got my hands on an installation disc, but when starting up my laptop it refuses to let me boot from cd-rom. I just need to know if theres another way to put windows back on there so she'll stop bitching at me and I can continue to learn linux

Did you set it to boot off the CDROM drive in the bios?

Yes I've tried setting boot off CDROM drive in the bios but then it just skips over that step and goes straight to starting up suse.
