Hiya,

After I have loaded up my computer I keep having this error:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\PROGRA~1\MESSEN~1\Msmsgs.exe

R6025
- pure virtual function call

Can someone tell me what it is and how can I fix it?

Thank you in advance :)

I would try fixing it by reinstalling MSN Messenger and disabling Windows Messenger.

I have to defend what I said because Windows Messenger is wholly outdated. What I meant with my post is that he should install MSN Messenger and disable Windows Messenger.

Well I have re-installed windows messeger but that didn't get rid of the error and now I have re-installed msn messenger (I got rid of it as it never seems to work anymore and so I used windows messenger as that seemed to workmmaybe because I use AOL? MSN messenger doesn't work on my other computer which shares my AOL connection.) Anyway that hasn't worked! I went to add and remove programmes but can't see windows messenger in the list to get rid of it?????? It is sooooo annoying!!

When you goto Add/Remove programs, you need to select Add/Remove Windows components (along the left hand side of the add/remove box). Just uncheck Windows Messenger there. :)

All that does is get rid of the shortcuts to it, it doesnt actually get rid of Windows Messenger

I have just done that and re-started my computer but the error still keeps coming up :mad: :confused:

I have just done what you suggested Rambo and so far fingers crossed no errors. I thought I would open the link to msn messenger in explorer and not in the AOL browser but after the page trying to load it said "The page cannot be displayed". But when I opened it in the AOL browser it worked, do you know why?? Thank you for your help guys, it is much appreciated. I am a damsel in distress lol
