My graphics card has a s-video cable and I was just wondering is there any software out there that can allow me to record my old vhs home video's into a computer file like avi? or transfer it into a dvd-r or dvd+r?

What kind of video card do you have? XFX 128MB AGP is not a card :P

Unless it has VIVO, the s-video is only for output.

Oh, and xfx 128 agp is a card, its just they dont sell it anymore :( . I bought it a while back on newegg and now it seems they dont sell it anymore. So... does that mean you need VIVO to record them onto my computer?

Video In Video Out :P And yes, you have to have it or the port's just an output. I'd look into a capturecard if you wanted to capture video, but a PIII 733MHz is almost too slow to really do any capturing. I've tried :P
