S-Video Detect Issues 7900GTX

Ok, well I have been using a 10 foot Svideo to RCA cable and when I reformat it just enable it in the nvidia control panel.. well I recently moved my room and that cable was not long enough, so I made my own using a long stretch of network cable (used the wires to transfer audio and video by cuting the ends off) and it worked fine, I could detect it in my nvidia control panel, well now that I have some money I wanted to clean it up and use a real cable, so I got a 25 foot cable with a S-video cable and head phones jacks on one end, and 3 standard RCA cables on the other end. but for some reaosn it will not detect it in the control panel, even when I force it or do rigrous display detection it will not show anything on the screen.. well I found out that i can get it to work if I bring my tv close to my PC and use the shorter cable then ebale the tv in the control pane, then I just use the long wire and it works fine, looks and sounds good.. but then when I restart it tuens it off and I have to do it again.. is there a way to keep the tv out forced on so I dont have to do this, or is there a way to get it to detect?..

Thanks
