S-Video to VGA Help!

Not sure if this is the right place to ask. What i have is a Marantz ipod dock with a s-video out that i would like to use with a spare 22" lcd monitor if i can make it work. I have seen S-video to VGA adaptors but not sure if that will work.
I would like to make this work then i can have the ipod songs displayed so i can see them.
 
There is no way to do a direct conversion from S-Video to VGA. You would have to find some sort of box to do the conversion, if such a device is available.
