I have a Geforce 4 ti4200 and I am running svideo to my TV. When I have it set to play fullscreen on the TV it will play .mov, .avi, .wmv and so on but it will be black and white and quickly flickers color.. If i Have it so it doesnt do fullscreen on TV it will show quicktime formats in color but won't display anything played in Windows Media Player...

My Geforce mx440 use to work just fine...

Is there a bug with the geforce 4 ti4200 or is there something I'm not doing right? I just can't seem to get the video to play fullscreen on the TV with color...

Appreciate any help

Thanks

I just noticed if I set the TVs resolution from the computer to 640x480 instead of 800x600 it will do the black and white to color flicker right on the desktop without playing video... So I am taking it that it plays the video in 640x480...

Still stumped on how to fix it

You need to make sure and buy a Composite s-video cable. A standard s-video cable is missing the conductor that carries the colour info. Although by the description of your problem this might not be the cause. Check the manual for your TV as some TVs default to a standard AV mode when using an AV channel and you might need to change it to S-Video. On my telly you change it to S-Video by pushing the AV button twice in quick succession.

Failing any of that have a rummage around in display properties for anthing that might be set wrong.
