Safe Mode Help

Hi, I have this problem while I'm using safemode. Well, I can't actually use safe mode because everytime I boot the computer into safe mode, the computer restarts automatically. (Windows Xp Pro user) Please help. Thanks
 
Thats a really odd problem; i've never heard of that before. all i can suggest it repairing your windows installation
 
Ok, thanks for the help but.. It says it needs my Windows Xp Pro CD..and I Windows Xp Pro /w SP1 but it says the version of windows I have is newer than one on CD. Does that mean I have to unistall SP2 in order to do this?
 
Try resetting bios! Take your cover off and pull the battery out and hold the power button down for about 15seconds make sure your computer is unpluged first!

PS:Also run all the scans in this sticky you may have a boot virus!

And are you able to select safemode? Are you doing it corectly? Hold the f8 key down when booting up and when you get to the page that has boot options select safemode and press enter! Sorry have to ask because somepeople dont know how to boot in safe mode!

If I didn't know how to boot in safe mode, I wouldn't have put "Well, I can't actually use safe mode because everytime I boot the computer into safe mode, the computer restarts automatically."
