Safe mode

I have win. XP Pro, and need to get it in safe mode to kill a damn virus, but my keyboard is not on when I need to hit f8. It's Saitek Eclipse. wat sould i do?
 
No, but the keyboard isn't even on. I have an eclipse, you can see the backlight when it's on, its not registered during some sections of boot... :(
 
Then you need to use a really old keyboard, like one which is 4 years old... Some of these new keyboards require drivers first before they can operate, like mine... I'm just lucky I have an old keyboard too...

that doesnt matter because no drivers can be loaded during the loading of the bios. unless your bios supports usb keyboards (i think), youd need a standard ps2 keyboard. once windows boots your good keyboard would kick in again
