safe temps

i am wondering what the safe temp range is for my cpu, a pent 4 2.6, right now running avg spyware scan, avg antivirus scan,speedfan,windows task manager, and internet explorer with this forum. cpu usage keeps jumping up to 100% and mean temp with cpu cooler fan at 100% according to speedfan is 104 farenheit. ambient is 91 f, what is ambient, temp inside case? also i have an HP computer and speedfan shows ambient, remote, remote 2 and hdd. i think amb is inside case temp, remote seems to be cpu, hdd is hdd, what is remote 2 though?

The temperature inside your case in general is 32.7777778Celcius=91farenheit. Your cpu temp is reading at 40C=104f. That would be good for an idle temp with a stock heat sink/fan combo. You don't have to worry about your system cooking with those. But you could add an extra case if there's a spot to see slightly lower temps with the increase in air flow. If you were seeing in the 50Cs when idle you would be climbing too high with a good load.
