Sam & Max demo dosen't work!

What are your system specs? Is it possible they're not "up to par" with the requirements for Sam and Max Season 3?

Well, you can look on the back of the case (if it's a desktop) or on the bottom (if it's a laptop) and tell us the Brand and model number. Otherwise, no one here will be able to help you.

nope - not that one. What does the computer say on the front - e.g. OptiPlex 960, Inspiron 560, etc.
 
You need a dedicated video card and the problem is, is that the dimension 3000 had onboard video most likely a 16 or 32 mb onbard chip. The 3000 also has no available agp port so you would have to get a pci video card. However since this system is at least 10 years old, I would consider saving money and getting a cheap amd system built for you.
 
OK, stock your computer probably came like this:

So unless you've added RAM and a video card, your computer probably doesn't meet the required specifications for Sam and Max 3, which are:

You said it runs Sam and Max 2 OK. The requirements for that are:

PC System Requirements:
• Windows XP or Vista
• 1.5GHz processor
• 256MB RAM (512MB recommended)
• 32MB 3D-accelerated video card
• DVD-ROM drive (for Collector's DVD)

The requirements for S&M 2 are considerably lower than those for S&M 3.

So the reason Sam and Max 3 won't run is because your PC doesn't meet the specified minimum requirements. I suggest you either upgrade your PC or buy Sam and Max for a gaming console, such as the Wii.
