Same IP on 2 computers?

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to have 2 computers using the same identical IP at the same time.

I am asking because I run a forum and there are 2 members that have the same IP. They say they are on 2 computers in the same house and the reason they have the same iP is because of their provider has a static IP. Somehow it looks very fishy to me as I always thought every computer had a unique IP.
 
they can have many internal ip addresses, one for every computer in their house, but only one external ip address, the one their isp provides them with, and the one you see.

unless they're causing you trouble, they might be telling the truth.
