Samsung 40" HD t.v

Hi,

I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on the following,

Just bought a new comp with dual core (e6000 i think) and a 8600gts graphics card, im not sure of all the other specs at the moment. Anyway when i conected it to the samsung 40" HD t.v the same as i have done with my old compaq presario a million times, it says its not compatible and i cant view anything. Does anyone know what the reason for this is and how i can do anything about it?

your help will be very welcome :S

Refer to your TVs manual. You usually have to set your refresh rate and resolution to specific settings. That should get you started.
