Downloaded this. How do I use it to back up data from phone? I don't know where to click to get the info transferred.
One of my Samsung phones seemed to transfer data to computer, couldn't find it. The S4 didn't seem to transfer, where do I go to transfer it? Also, where do I find the transferred data once it has transferred across?

How do you backup your phone's data on gmail?

What are you trying to backup? If it's photos, videos, music, files, etc. it would likely be a lot easier to simply plug it in and copy and paste the content you want backed up.

Did you bother running the application? It tells you step by step after you run it how to use it.

I've never had luck with Kies. It seems like broken software, to me.. It has always either froze on me, didn't open, crashed...etc.

I just manually drag/drop my phone files now- cant be bothered to keep tryin to make Kies work.

Couldn't get Kies to work really. How do you manually drop the files? Plug the phone in and then go into it through mycomputer? Then somehow find files?

I want to backup phone numbers mostly. Secondly, calendar and photos would be good.

For contacts you just import them into your Google account and they'll automatically sync with that. Same with the calendar.

For photos use Google Photos to back them up into Google Drive or use Dropbox.

You have an Android phone, if you're saving contacts to your Google account they are already backed up. Same goes for your calendar. Download Google Photos and you can have it backup all your photos for free as well.
