Samsung S27A950D blury

Hi Everyone,

I am having a problem that I hope someone can help with. My Samsung S27A950D monitor works beautifully at 60hz, but when I put it up to 100/120 hz, the screen goes really blury and is not useable.

Other information:
- I have 2 x Geforce GTX 980 classifieds running in SLI mode.
- I went and bought a DVI-D (dual) cable as I didn't have one (no idea what happened to the one in the box) so it should work on that front. One interesting point is that the dual DVI-D cable I brought doesn't have the horizontal bar in it. Could this be a problem?
- Here is a link to a photo I took of the bottom left corner of the samsung at 120hz and the bottom right corner of another monitor at 60hz. Its hard to tell but the right and side of the photo is the samsung and is blury.

Any advice anyone can offer would be brilliant, I obviously want to be getting the most out of this monitor.

Cheers,

Ant

Display port.... Ok, I'll look into that. I would have thought that the DVI-D would do it, but I'll check that.
When you say check the refresh rate, do I do that on the monitor, on the video card or somewhere in the OS system?

Right cliick on the new 122Hz monitor and go to to display settings and make sure it is set to 122Hz. Then ensure that the native refresh rate and resolution is correct for each of the other monitors.

Hi Everyone,

Ok, I've figured it out. The DVI-D cable I purchased (that was missing the horizontal bar) was the problem. I got a new cable and blamo, its all working. Not I just need to go back to the original computer shop (which I called twice asking about this) and politely request a refund for their cable and point out the hours of my time they wasted because of it. sigh to the so called experts. I should have just gone to one of the big chain stores, at least there you expect crap advice. Anyway, thanks for the tips!

Cheers,

Ant
