San Andreas Issue

Ok I bought Grand Theft Auto San Andreas the other day and wanted to get my XBOX360 controller working for it. Fine and dandy, I found a program called Pinnacle which lets you make a controller setup for it but in order to get it working to the fullest, you also need a program called SAAC.exe. In order to use SAAC you need to have version 1 of the game, mine was version 2. So I downloaded the program which roles the software back to version 1. It worked, but when I tried to run the game it would not find the cd because the versions were different, so I downloaded the no cd crack. All worked flawlessly.

Anyway, Ive been playing it this way and all had been swell until I got to the officer Tenpenny missions. When I go into the donut shop to meet with him the cut scene fires, but when it ends instead of going back to the game it just blanks out. If I control+Alt+Del I can see the program stops responding. Only this one mission though, Ive tried several times to no avail.

Anyone have any clues as to what could be causing the issue? Is there a patch available anywhere?

Yep. Defineteley wrong crack. Try and search the net for a new crack for version 1.
Usually when you have a bad crack the game stops somewhere on the same place I experienced the same on my PES 08:mad:

I understand that talking about cracks is usually illegal and i dont want to impede on that rule, but in this case it is perfectly legitimate. The only way to use the 360 controller is with a program called SAAC but it does not work with version 2.0 which is what I have. If I can continue to get help with this here, can I post my receipt showing I just bought the game from gamestop a few days ago so you know im being honest?

i think the main issue is that despite the fact that you 'say' its legitimate, that is in fact no different from anybody else who doesn't have a legitimate copy saying its legal. in other words, theres no way to tell who is telling the truth and who is lieing so its easiest to play it safe and disallow it all regardless of the reason for needing the crack.
