Sandy Bridge Spec

Hi there, I am fairly new to computers and I would like to know if this spec would all work together okay.

Case: Corsair Obsidian 650D - £129.18 [Link]

CPU: i5 2500k - £163.40 [Link]

CPU Cooler: Gelid Tranquillo - £23.03 [Link]

HDD: Spinpoint F3 1TB - £40.92 [Link]

PSU: Antec HCG 629 - £49.99 [Link]

MB: MSI P67A - GD53 B3 - £108.88 [Link]

Memory: Corsair Memory XMS3 Classic 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz - £39.74 [Link]

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 570 - £233.48 [Link]

Total: £788.62

I'm going to leave out the SSD for another time when I have more money, but rest assured I will get it!

Monitor: I plan on getting the LG W2361V – PF [Link] monitor when I have some more money also, can anyone recommend it?

Query: In a review of the Geforce it said you should have a PSU higher than 650W to run it, do people agree with that, if so I'll get a higher wattage PSU.

Many thanks,
Hunter

Everything looks fine. :D
I would go for a STA 6GB/S http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1tb-...720012-sata-6gb-s-7200rpm-32mb-cache-85ms-ncq
It would be faster.

And 620W is way more than enough for the GTX 570,you won't have any problems with the PSU it is a good PSU.

And also I have heard bad things about scan's aftersale support,a member here suffered a lot at the hands of scan.
You can try other sites like ebuyer etc don't know many UK computer online stores.
But somebody here will definitely help you out.

Thank you very much mihir, the PSU was my main worry, and the SATA III is a added bonus, I totally forgot about the different versions of SATA when choosing the HDD, thanks again.

And I know loads of people that have brought from Scan and they have never had a problem, I'm very much doubtful I'll need any aftersale support, also Scan are probably by far the cheapest of all the stores I know.

You help is much appreciated,
best regards,
Hunter
