simply sounds like a blown card. u gotta return or RMA it my friend. does the computer work with a diff card??? u might have fried something else when installing the card. but it sure sounds like the card itself is fried. try diff cards first b4 u return it though.

If the previous graphics card was onboard video it might still be looking for that. you may need to uninstall this first or disable it from the system bios.

The 9800 requires extra power connection ... is your PSU up to the task of this added power drain? :)

if that works then it is a blown card and needs to be rmaed or returned.
You seem to be very doom-gloom :P It still could just be that the PSU cant punch out enough juice for the card heehee

yes...that or his AGP slot or PCI (whihever it is) is bad or blown. ive read of mobos having blown AGP slots alot...could be htat too.

Crap dude im having the same exact problem with my RADEON 9600PRO! Same exact problem, yet my computer works with my old old old video card. And the New Radeon card doesnt work in my friends computer either.

COuld it be AGP revisions? I know that a bunch of the revisions dont work on boards with different revisions
