Sapphire R9 280X 3G Dual-X OC

hello so i want to buy Sapphire R9 280X 3G Dual-X OC and i have i5 4460 and antec basiq 550 w now in sapphire site it says i need 500w but i know that this is a powerful gpu my Q is will the gpu will run on my pc?
and is it worth to get it for 250 $ and in my country 250$ for this kind of gpu it not much.

Pretty good GPU but bit old. Next year will (hopefully) bring 14/16nm GPU's that should be much better than 28nm GPU's (right now every GPU is 28nm), so it may be worth to waut. Another question is when 14/16nm parts come at that price range. Probably high end parts come first...
