Sapphire x1550 25MB AGP card is too noisy?

I recently purchased a customized system that came with (at no charge) a Sapphire x1550 256Mb 64bit AGP video card installed. It works great and does what I want it to do.

The problem is that the card fan is too noisy. The card is quiet after I power up the box, but after about 10 minutes, the video card fan starts to rev-up and get louder. (Louder than the PSU and CPU fan combined) I tried replacing it with an OLD, non-fan video card and did not get any noise. So I KNOW it is the Sapphire cards fan.

I'm not sure if there is a problem with the card fan or not. Does anyone else have a noisey Sapphire video card fan? Is all this LOUD noise normal? Or should I be worried?

Thanks.
Scott.

Those cards are pretty low-end..you can literally buy that exact card new online for $28.99

sounds like its on is way out...just replace it...

I've got the X1300 Pro AGP (Same thing, the x1550 is a newer revision but same specs) my sister has the Sapphire x1550 AGP, and I have another Diamond x1550 PCIe, non of these cards have problems with the fan, it sounds like the bearings in yours are bad
