Sata connections

can you daisy chain Sata connections? (as in from one hdd to another) or is it one connection each.

Also my new motherboard has 4 sata3 connection will a sata2 hard work ok? i presume they are backward compatible?

one last thing how much better is sata3 compared to sata2?

No daisy chains. Yes they're backwards compatible. Assuming equally specced hard drives, you should not notice a difference as even SATA I bandwidth far exceeds the needs of a typical hard drive.
