SATA controller card problem

Hi, I just recived my PSA150 SATA controler card. I'm having a terible time getting the drivers installed.

Windows XP didn't come right up with "PCI RAID controller" found, like it said in the manual. So, I went to control pannel, add new hardware, and tried several different methods that way.

Finally an icon "Silicon Image SATA Controllers" came up in the control pannel.

When I go to Device Manager, under SCSI and raid controllers it lists 3 different "ATI 436E Serial ATA controler" icons, and one Silicon Image SiI 3512 SATA link controler. But all of them have the yellow exclimation point sign.

When you look at properties on any of those, it says location unknown, and a message saying:

"This device cannot start (Code 10)"

Any Ideas?

Oh, and does the card have to have the HDD connected to show up properly?

I tried uninstalling the drivers. I'll try one more time.

what is the best process for installing the drivers?
