Sata Hard Disk Problem

Hi everyone. I have a hard disk (SATA) 320gb my desktop or even other desktop cannot detect or read the file inside it. i sent it to computer shop, they can't do anything about it. There are files inside that i want. IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET THE FILE BACK??PLEASE

Yes, there is. If you send it in to the company that supplies the hard drive or a hard drive restore company, you may be able to get all those files back, for a price. I heard it was very pricey
 
That's the problem. I don't know where to send it n even if i do know and send it, I'm not quite confident with it. I wonder if there is any software that can retrieve all the files inside the hard disk. Plese Help
 
Know any Linux users? If the read/write heads are still good on the drive one way to retrieve files from a drive when a partition becomes inaccessible is with a live for cd Linux distro like Knoppix or ubuntu. Linux will show the drives on any system as desktop icons that can be opened to copy from one to another. For a failed drive the recovery would need a high priced professional service is correct. There are some data recovery programs like Active Undelete that may help.
