Sata Hard drive Master / Slave ?

I installed my 2 Sate WD Cavier Hard Drives and one (the 80 gb) does not have a jumper on it. Neither HDD came with any instructions.

I believe I read you dont have to set these to Master and slave, just conect them to Sata 0, Sata 1. am I correct.

I want the 80 gb drive to run only windows XP Pro and possibley my Photoshop CS2 Program so have it set up in sata 0
 
speaking of that.. what would happen if you plugged in a splitter to the sata0 and plugged in two drives???

Short of homemade engineering, where would you acquire this splitter? Like i mean you could prolly hack something using some IDE/SCSI convertors but thats excssively "out there"
 
Come on, you guys dont tinker like that? I might actually try it... And if it fry's the mobo/hardrive ill call dell and have them replace it :) Running expermients on dell's dime! :P
