Sata hard drive not working

Hi. i just got a new Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 300GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive and i have tried everything i can think of but i just cant seem to get it to find the hard drive. I have a MGuru motherboard witht he model number kv8 pro.
 
ANYWAY...

Boot to the windows Cd, and when it says press f6 to load raid drivers... PRess f6 and out in the sata A: disk that came with the drive. If it did not come with a disk, you can get the sata drivers off the Cd that came with your motherboard.

Then, make sure the sata port is enabled in bios.
 
Did you load the drivers? You didn't specify if you were trying to load windows to it or just add as a secondary drive, but I know you have to load "raid" drivers when you start the setup.
